MNF and the Demos

Scott,
Back during the Monday Night Wats when both companies were doing monster ratings, was Monday Night Football not as big?
I never hear of those games hitting the ratings back then like they did after the boom period?
Surely, they affected the demos in some way right?
It’s not that the football ratings got bigger, it’s that everything else on TV got smaller since then and football has somehow been completely immune to declining TV viewership. Football absolutely hurt the demos for wrestling as well at the time but overall numbers were so big that it didn’t matter.
