Bruno vs Hulk or Flair

When Hulk was on top in WWF in 86 or 87, do you think they could have turned Bruno heel and gone into a short run against Hogan?

Would Bruno have worked in that role, and would it have drawn money the way it did with Andre or like Backlund as a heel in 94.

Also when Bruno went to the NWA as a guest ref in 1989 for Halloween Havoc, was there ever any discussion of a one-off comeback against Flair, just to have the two big names face off?

I'll tell you exactly what would have happened if they had turned Bruno in 86: Grumpy old Northeast fans would have cheered their heads off for him and been really bitter about Hogan going over him. It would have been a complete no-win situation and might have even hurt Hogan's drawing power in WWF's biggest market. There's no way it would have been justifiable.

And no, the 89 appearance in Crockett wasn't meant to lead to anything, it was just something to pop a number.
