WCW

By Scott Keith on 13 December 2024

With the thousands of ECW tribute shows the last 20 years, why no WCW ones? It's probably to late now as this generation before 30 probably doesn't know WCW existed and Goldberg and some of the Luchadores are probably the only active WCW guys left but they definitely couldve pulled off something in say 2010? Something like

Sting vs Flair

Scott Steiner vs Booker T.

Rey Mysterio, Chavo, Pycosis vs Juvi, La Parka and La Parkas son?

3 count vs Yung Dragons

Regal vs Finlay

Have Goldberg squash someone annoying like Disco Inferno and just various segments with legends like the Four Horsemen, NWO reunion and I think you could've had something that could've sold out a decent size building in Atlanta.

It wouldn't work from a WWE perspective because they've literally spent a decade burying the WCW brand and brainwashing fans into thinking that everything about the promotion was stupid and terrible, whereas ECW has been protected and treated like a misunderstood genius. And it's mostly because Paul Heyman is a WWE guy for life now. Ironic because WWE has also spent the last decade cashing in on the WCW brand over and over. Like they literally gave their blessing and footage to a documentary series that might as well have been called “WCW was run by a bunch of idiots, LOL.”
