Jesse Ventura claimed in his podcast interview with Bill Simmons this week that he was the first heel commentator on a wrestling show. Is this true, and on a scale of zero to CM Punk how shocked are you that he's actually returning to WWE and how excited are

Without even digging deep I can tell you that Rowdy Roddy Piper was doing heel commentary in Georgia and the Carolinas well before Jesse even got to the WWF. So no, unless you want to quantify it with “On a national stage and on a regular basis” or something like that.
As for his return, I'm not shocked. He's returned before and we know he's about the money and hates Vince McMahon, so with someone else providing money he's fine to return. I don't see him being very up on the current product but it should be a fun throwback. I'll probably be watching if it's on somewhere I have access to, as in regular NBC.
