Omni in Atlanta!

Hey Scott,

Tossing back some white russians and tried to find The last battle for Atlanta on wwe vault.

Failed, but did find some 1987 Omni action with Dusty and the Road Warriors.

My question is what was the lineage of the Central States Heavyweight Championship compared to say the WWF Intercontinental Title back in the 80s?

Superstar Bill Dundee opening this card as a champion was a bit odd compared to jobbers starting the night off.
The Central States title was basically the main title of the Central States territory in the Midwest, in the same way that the Florida title was the main one in that region and the Mid-Atlantic title in that region. And then when Crockett bought them all up, they became very secondary titles and then got merged out of existence with other ones.
