Wishing for a Christmas Miracle
By Scott Keith on 5 December 2024
Hi Scott,
I want to thank you for all your support throughout the year in promoting my various projects and articles.
I, unfortunately, come to you after a very tough few years where I've been rocked by losing clients through Covid and other major obstacles. As someone who has always struggled with mental health, this really spiraled me into an emotional and physical mess. It has harmed my relationships and done massive damage to my career. I had some work this year, but due to my overwhelming anxiety and deep depression, I struggled to keep it.
I am now seeking professional help in the form of new medication, seeing a therapist and psychiatrist, and discovering at 47 years old I may be neurodivergent — hopefully, get some tools to manage that.
Why this sob story? Because you've proven in the past to be a benevolent angel and your readers are incredibly kind, I am throwing myself at their mercy if one so decides to help a guy out during the holidays.
Taking care of mental health can be expensive even in Canada, and I'd like to possibly have some money to give my two kids Christmas gifts because it isn't their fault I've been an emotional wreck.
I believe with the medical help I'll be able to really get back on track as a freelance writer (my profession), but it will take some time to make actual money again.
I also have a pop-culture site and a podcast that I've neglected, but I plan to relaunch in 2025. There is a catalog of work on there that your readers can check out and they can help support me if they like what I've created. My site is Beyond the Balcony and my movie review podcast is The Movie Breakdown.
If anyone feels moved to help me out then they can do that through my PayPal account, by clicking on this link.
Thank you so much, and Merry Christmas.
Best of luck!
