Rants

Model of forgiveness

By Scott Keith on 29 November 2024

Greetings,

Blog discussion around Swerve and Hangman got me thinking: Who has been the most (kayfabe) magnanimous wrestler over the course of their career? In other words, who has suffered the most in storyline but ultimately forgives and/or aligns with those who did them wrong?

There are many worthy candidates, though I will nominate Kane. To wit, he:
  • Made amends with Undertaker after he admitted to burning down the family funeral home, killing their mother and maiming Kane in the process.
  • Again worked it out with Undertaker after he attempted to murder his father by encasing him in cement.
  • Buried the hatchet with HHH after he defiled the corpse of the only woman Kane ever truly loved. Even worse(?), HHH twisted the knife by insisting Katie never loved Kane back. Still, Kane eventually turned the other cheek and took a Corporate job with the Authority.
What say you?
Sting! He had a toxic relationship with Lex Luger for years and kept taking him on as a tag partner. Reunited with Flair multiple times. Joined the Wolfpack even after spending 18 months hunting the nWo.
