Happy Wednesday Everyone!
We’re continuing on with booking Shotgun. If you’ve been following these then I hope you’re enjoying them, and if you’d like to get up to date on previous editions you can do so by checking the archives. I will post a recap of last week’s show down below the break line as well.

Last week on Shotgun;
Val Venis defeated The Big Boss Man
The Public Enemy won a squash match over local enhancement talent
Mideon and Steve Williams got into a backstage brawl
Droz and Prince Albert defeated The Hardy Boyz thanks to the interference of Too Much. The Public Enemy then made a surprising save for the two lads from Cameron
Steve Blackman defeated Tiger Ali Singh in a Martial Arts weapons match and then caned Tiger right in his Tiger Balls in order to put a full stop on their rivalry
And with you all brought up to speed, let’s move on to this week’s show!
This taping took place on the 30th of March 1999 from Uniondale, New York

Segment 1
Mideon Vs Steve Williams
We open Shotgun by following on from an issue that arose the previous week, when Mideon got into a brawl with Steve Williams backstage. This week the two hefty men are going to throw down, with Williams getting the better of things as the bout wears on. This will lead to Mideon’s partner, Viscera, sauntering down to the ring and attacking Williams for the DQ. Originally I had plans for Williams to do a bit of a feud with these guys, but he actually gets released from the WWF soon after this due to refusing to work an FMW show, so we’ll just have Mideon and Viscera do a post-match beat down in order to write Williams out. Not the most auspicious way for Williams to say goodbye, but it’s better than him just disappearing I guess.

Segment 2
Sunday Night HeAT Recap
This is a segment reserved for recapping the notable events of the most recent episode of HeAT, seeing as this is a weekend syndicated show at the end of the day, whilst Raw and HeAT are the main two shows of the week. This segment exists not only to recap the previous episode of HeAT but also as a way to hype up and advertise any matches or segments that have been announced for the next episode.

Segment 3
Backstage interview segment with Droz, Prince Albert and Too Cool (Brian Christopher and Scott Taylor)
This is a quick promo segment so that these four can hype up an 8 Man Tag that will be coming later on when they face off with The Public Enemy and The Hardyz. The gist is that they can work together, whilst their opponents can’t.

Monday Night Raw Recap
This is a segment reserved for recapping the notable events of the most recent episode of Raw, seeing as this is a weekend syndicated show at the end of the day, whilst Raw and HeAT are the main two shows of the week. This segment exists not only to recap the previous episode of Raw but also as a way to hype up and advertise any matches or segments that have been announced for the next episode.

Segment 5
Tiger Ali Singh in-ring promo segment
Tiger joins us all bandaged up from his match the previous week, and sends to footage on the Titan-Tron so the fans in the arena can see what happened to him, with the replay of the cane shot to the groin being played from numerous angles. After the sniggering from the fans dies down, Tiger states that it was a travesty that he was even involved in such a match and demands some sort of sanction for Blackman due to the post-match attack. Before Tiger can continue his rant though, he is interrupted by the music of D-Lo Brown, who is heading down to the ring for his match. Tiger and Brown get into an argument, but Tiger storms off before things can get physical.

Segment 6
Pay Per View Centre
This is where we let Dok Hendrix hype up the upcoming pay per view. If any matches are already announced then he can hype them here, and if we’re still waiting for any of the real meat of the pay per view to be advertised then we can look back at previous events in order to pad the segment out.

Segment 7
Devon Storm Vs D-Lo Brown
This is a competitive match for the most part, with the reason being that Brown’s preparation has been spoiled due to Tiger and that leaves him a bit off his game, meaning that Storm can take control for a bit. Eventually though; Brown shows why he is the WWF Superstar and Storm is the unsigned talent by making a big comeback and winning the bout clean with the Lo-Down Frogsplash. Following the bout; Tiger Ali Singh yells obscenities at Brown from the entrance way whilst Brown tries to celebrate his win, suggesting that there will be further issues between these two.

Segment 8
Backstage interview segment with The Hardy Boyz and The Public Enemy
The other team now get to retort to the Droz lead foursome from earlier. TPE tell The Hardyz that they can trust them, but The Hardyz don’t seem so sure, and they’re kind of worried that they’ll now get painted with the same brush as TPE from the rest of the locker room

Segment 9
Live Event Centre
This is where Dok Hendrix hypes up the next big event coming to YOUR local area. So it’s a long day for the poor sod in the recording booth, but we need to slip that stuff in on the syndicated show.

Segment 10
Droz, Prince Albert and Too Much Vs The Hardy Boyz and The Public Enemy
The Hardyz and TPE actually manage to work okay as a team here, with TPE being true to their words and being there for their younger partners when required. Eventually the bout breaks down, with all eight wrestlers going at it. In the commotion, Droz/Albert and TPE end up knocking one another out on the outside of the ring when all four end up tumbling through some tables. As neither are the legal man, the bout cannot be called as a DQ, but the referee still heads out to check on everyone. Whilst that is going on, Taylor and Jeff (the actual legal men) are going at it in the ring, with Jeff seemingly having the winning pin. However, Christopher comes off the top with a leg drop to Jeff and then drapes Taylor on top, just in time for the ref to return and count the three! Too Much have stolen a win over their rivals!

End of Show
I think this is it for TPE, which is a shame as I would have kept using them but the sharks are circling in the WWF locker room and they’ll soon be heading back to WCW. I decided to put the focus on the Too Much Vs Hardyz issue instead, with the Heels getting the win in order to keep the feud going, which means we can go further with it.
Tiger Ali Singh has a new Shotgun foe in the form of Brown, so we’ll let that run for a bit. I think D-Lo is probably one of the best choices to get something watchable out of Tiger in-ring, so hopefully that proves to be the case. We’ll keep developing it and see what happens.
Mideon and Viscera being the two to run Dr. Death out of the WWF is certainly a choice, and originally that wasn’t the plan but I thought I had more time to book Steve Williams and it turned out that he was soon to leave so I had to wrap things up pretty sharpish. Originally I would have had Williams throw the two big guys around until he ran afoul of their stablemates The Acolytes, wherein THEY would be the ones to send Williams off into the sunset being that they were a Tag Team Title level act at the time. But alas, I couldn’t make the dates work, so Mideon and Viscera get the scalp. That’s just Pro Wrestling I guess.
Anyway, that’s us done for another week. We’ll pick things up again next week and see where the stories take us.
Hopefully I’ll see you all next week for more Shotgun!
