Ring Ropes

Has it ever been covered by Meltzer or anyone else as to why WWE abandoned the idea of different color ring ropes? They have just used white for years as opposed to red, blue, and yellow for Raw, Smackdown, and NXT. Is there a specific reason?
I’ve never even paid attention to the colour of them. Except for the stupid pink month ones.
