Iron Claw Trailer & what it could lead to

First, the trailer was released today for The Iron Claw:

Cast looks great (Mindhunter Bill Tench baby!). Now it being an A24 production, they don’t slouch and they seem to always draw the attention of awards shows. Having said that, i could see this leading to what i thought The Wrestler was going to produce; studios snatching up rights to the massive amounts of stories in wrestling throughout the decades, no matter how big and small.

Now Von Erichs is a fascinating tale, and i’ll see it,but no doubt a bummer throughout. The plethora of wrestling books that screenplays could be made out of is massive. What i want is the more smaller in time stories to be told. Like just the locker room environment of when ECW was formed to their first ppv; or the chaos and mechanics of in a week wwe bought wcw and produced WMX7. What would be on your list if this movie starts that trend?

First up, this trailer should have been edited to use Salisbury Hill as the background music just to really rip people’s hearts out when they see it. You think you’re in for a wacky story of wrestling brother monkeyshines and then WHAM.

And the movie we need is No Chance In Hell: The Vince McMahon story.
