Razor instead of Diesel

If the WWF had gone with Razor to be the one who beat Backlund and became the leader of the new generation instead of Diesel, do you think it would have worked out better, or was Razor just not WWF Champion material?
Also when they came back in 2002, instead of the NWO if they had been Razor & Diesel again instead of Hall and Nash, would that have been better or was it past that point where it could have been done.

Razor was not a main event level babyface in 1994. Wouldn’t have worked.
And when they returned, the only value was the nWo.
