The LOD in 1987

Scotty,

How close were The Road Warriors to signing with the WWF in the middle of 1987? If Crockett hadn't come to terms with them, would we have seen the Road Warriors vs Demolition at WrestleMania IV, or would we have had Strike Force losing to them instead of Demolition? Would this have stalled the Demolition push to the top?

I don't think they were ever that close. If Vince had any kind of relationship with Japan they might have come in for a big offer, but I just can't see them giving up those tours until they had no other choice. Which was basically what it came down to in 1990 when WCW no longer wanted them around.
