Since 36-year-old Roman Reigns became Universal Champion 18 months ago, he has had precisely one title defense against an opponent younger than he is – Seth Rollins (who is 35).
Nevermind that three of the four big stars that WWE created in the mid-2000’s (Cena, Lesnar, Orton) were guys who all had multiple world title wins in their 20’s. (Batista being the exception at 36, but he also didn’t start wrestling until his 30’s)
