Happy Wednesday Everyone!
So the big news here on the Blog yesterday was Cody Rhodes seemingly being WWE bound. I never though I’d see the day where Cody Rhodes would be a bigger news story on here than Stone Cold Steve Austin possibly wrestling again, but then again the past couple of years have been a bit unusual.
I’ve said this elsewhere in Cody’s thread, but I’ll say it here as well. WWE cannot afford to mess up the first AEW to WWE jump. Sure, they might be sorely tempted to bury Cody as penance for having the temerity to try and earn a living outside of WWE, but they probably kiss goodbye the chance to getting other prominent AEW people in the future if they do that.
I think even Vince McMahon realises this, so hopefully that means we won’t see Cody showing up in polka dots and hanging off the back of garbage trucks whilst talking about how you can’t beat his meat. Stranger things have happened of course, but I’ll be utterly baffled if WWE don’t give Cody a strong push upon his debut.
Scheduled today on the Blog: Scott and Thomas have NXT 2.0 reviewed. I’ve got some more WrestleMania Openers for you later on. J has some more Dream Matches. Logan continues his journey into 1990 WWF. Mr. Bayless put some WWF from 1995 up yesterday so have a dig through the archives for that

I think she’s earned a celebrity match to be honest, especially after what they did to her at SummerSlam last year
Brock thinks some of the WWE guys need to get themselves over
Stuff like this always annoys me because I don’t think Brock has any real concept of what being a mid-carder in current WWE is like. Brock gets paid big money to come in and work for WWE and he has the power to say no whenever he wants to, so of course he can get himself over. If you’re a regular guy on the roster then you’re firstly hamstrung by mostly poor creative, and in the rare instances you do get yourself over (like Rusev Day or Zack Ryder) you tend to get punished for getting over without WWE’s permission. Basically, the problem is WWE itself, not the wrestlers. If you let most of those wrestlers cut their own promos, stopped the horrible 50/50 booking and created an environment where they were encouraged to get over rather than walking on eggshells all the time in case they get over the “wrong way”, then this wouldn’t even be a discussion point
Today’s match is Keith Lee Vs Dijak in Portland
Have a gooden everyone!
