Mike Tenay

Given how opinionated wrestling fans are, I don’t recall much discussion on Mike Tenay. No hatred. No love. Nothing. It’s like he never existed, and that’s hard to do with the years under his belt behind a wrestling microphone.

Any publicity is good publicity, but I don’t recall Mike getting any at all. Am I missing a period of time where the blog was just blowing up on Tenay, or is he just the human equivalent of Pepsi? Not good, not bad, and you’ll drink him if you have to?(Unless you’re CM Punk, of course)

I think it’s more that Tenay was kind of miscast as a lead announcer in TNA and really the WCW role where he could pop in as the Iron Professor was his best one. As a lead guy he just wasn’t memorable.
