Because his reign was so short, did Sheik make any successful title defenses as champ? If they hadn't gone to Hogan so fast, do you think Sheik could have been a draw as a heel champion? How far in advance did they determine the whole Backlund/Sheik/Hogan
switches? Was Backlund in on the move to Hogan when he dropped the belt?
Sheik had a successful defense against Tito Santana which aired on WWE 24/7 but i don’t know if it’s still around. Sheik was just a guy, he wasn’t going to draw and the whole point was just to set up Hulk. And yes, Backlund 100 percent knew.
