Eddie Gilbert

I recently started watching ECW from the beginning of what's on the WWE network in 1993. I am now at the point where Paul E. took over as booker from Eddie Gilbert. What do you think Gilbert's legacy is and where his career my have gone had he not died so young?

The problem with Eddie is that he burned a LOT of bridges on the way out. He likely would have ended up in an Austin Idol type of role in Memphis where he did some indies and local shows but didn't really go anywhere outside of maybe Puerto Rico. Basically he was a super smart guy who couldn't get out of his own way.
