What if in 1999 the fingerpoke of doom happens as is. Only the nWo angle actually continues instead of fizzling out. GOLDBERG actually gets his shot at the belt at I dunno…Bash At The Beach 1999. Loses (via massive shenanigans obviously) and via further massive
shenanigans and/or ties the next two matches going through Halloween Havoc 1999. ALL this time STING is nowhere to be seen. Finally after Hogan has “defeated” Goldberg (with literally the help of the entire NWO) STING finally appears as the CROW version.
The rematch of the century is signed. And this time Sting defeats Hogan via submission at Starrcade 1999.

In your opinion would this have saved WCW in 1999? Or at least have been BETTER than what they did?
“Better than what they did” is a low bar to clear with 1999 WCW, but sure, this would have been fine assuming Vince Russo isn't part of the equation in our alternate timeline as well.
