Wrestlers throwing fireballs

What are your thoughts on using fireballs in wrestling angles? Jerry Lawler seemed to be the master at this, and Eddie Gilbert did it well. Others failed spectacularly (Hogan vs Warrior 2), and caused legit burns (young Balls Mahoney vs. Abdullah).
I feel like they should stay in Memphis.
