Matt Hardy in NXT

Word going around is WWE is now desperate to keep Matt Hardy, and offering him big money to work NXT (I’m guessing less travel stress). You think Matt could do a bit better under HHHs watch, maybe not in the ring but with character and promos (maybe a proper Broken Matt)? And am I wrong in thinking they’re trying to appease Matt until they can convince him to retire from the ring and join creative, where he would probably do really well?
Either way he's playing this like a GENIUS thus far. He's gonna walk away an even richer man despite being completely broken down and supposedly retired. I think he'd be happier in AEW, personally, but whatever makes him the most money with the most freedom is the way to go.
