AEW not having a “real sports” vibe anymore?

Hi Scott,

As much as I liked Double or Nothing last Saturday, I was caught off guard by how much of the PPV came off as just another promotion of gimmicks, comedy and entertainment like WWE instead of going for the "real sports" vibe they insisted for months they were going to emphasize. Did they ultimately decide to scrap that idea? Don't get me wrong, the workrate in the ring was fine except for the battle royal and it was the best non-NJPW, non-NXT PPV I've seen in over a year but it wasn't like anything I haven't seen before. Even if they stick with the win loss records and/or rankings, if they continue to have stupid shit like the librarians and mysterious masked men attacks, it won't be that different from WWE…just better hopefully. Right?

I think that "Better" is all anyone is realistically asking for.
