“Vince guys”

After listening to JR's newest podcast with Conrad Thompson, I realized that actually NO ONE wanted Warrior back in WWF in 1996 but Vince. Prichard, Cornette, Ross, nobody was either a fan of the performer or the man behind it, and only Vince wanted him back basically. Are there other examples of guys Vince pushed hard for where nobody else "got it"? Ryback? Mabel? Boogeyman??
I always thought everyone loved Boogeyman and that’s why they keep bringing him back.
