What if the tombstone spot doesn’t happen?
Austin was already getting massive face heat and clearly plans were in place for him to take over the company in 98. He showed at WM 13 he was capable of pulling out epic brawls while still being a great technician as well. How does wrestling change if Austin doesn’t break his neck?
The broken neck storyline directly led to Austin v. McMahon, and also created the main event brawling style that dominated WWE for the next decade.
