Absolutely nothing to do with Wrestlemania weekend

I was totally loving Cena’s character from 03-05 before the whole chain gang soldier thing and the total softening of every little bit of edge he had.

I absolutely get the company changing back to pg family friendly programming but do you think there was anyway cena could have straddled that line and maintained some kind of edge whilst simultaneously being the ‘make a wish’ kids friendly face of the company or was the way to go exactly as they did? Adult fans be damned sort of thing?
