Ambrose Asylum

My friends & I often wondered/assumed that Dean Ambrose liked (or at least didn't care about) his role as the "goofy weird guy" because of how much he did it. Now we all come to find out he's been hating his character's direction for apparently years.
Any other good examples of a wrestler who didn't like their character but still did it for a really long time? Only one that comes to mind was Cody stuck with Stardust for a while…
I wanna say Stevie Richards as Raven’s dipshit flunky, because they had a REALLY ugly breakup and then Richards never went to the gimmick again. Similarly, Raven as Johnny Polo/Scotty Flamingo.
