Rusev’s character

So apparently Rusev went back to heel last night on Smackdown, joining up with the very guy he was just feuding with, Nakamura. Does Vince hold a grudge because Rusev got over on his own with the whole "Rusev Day", or do you think there is another reason why his character has been so badly jerked around?
Both guys are rumoured to be on the release line next, so I wouldn’t read too much into any storylines with either one at this point.
