Bye Bye Brock?

Is Vince so scared of Brock doing massive numbers for whatever MMA promotion he threatens to go to, that he'd be willing to keep him as Universal Champion and keep his schedule as is for the foreseeable future?
I don't see why he would renew his contract at this point, and instead let him leave but keep things amicable with a view to bring him back after a few years.

I think it’s that old Vince mentality where he wants to make sure he controls whatever competition arises. He wants to make sure that if Brock ever does go back to UFC (ha!) then it’s under WWE auspices. But I think ultimately Brock is just doing a superb job of playing Vince like a fiddle.
