–Gordon Solie, Larry Zbyszko, and Dusty Rhodes are doing commentary and they are concluding the tapings in Gainesville, Georgia.
–Opening Contest: Brian Pillman (5-0) defeats Morgus Watson after the Atomic Blonde at 3:01:
Watson wrestled on the independent circuit as Morgus the Maniac and he had the distinction of being the 500th ranked wrestler in the PWI 500 in 1992. He looks a lot like Luke Harper. Watson’s strikes are very weak and Pillman rallies after a spinning heel kick to continue his winning streak against enhancement talents.
–A replay of Vader and Ric Flair destroying Dave Sullivan on WCW Saturday Night last week is shown.
–Sergeant Craig Pittman (3-0) beats Barry Houston with the Code Red at 3:17:
Houston tries to chain wrestle Pittman, which is about the worst mistake he could make, and Pittman delivers some sloppy takedowns. Houston does a good job selling a shoulder injury after those, thereby setting up Pittman’s Code Red finisher.
–The Nasty Boys (14-1) defeat Fred Avery & George South when Jerry Sags pins South after the Trip to Nastyville at 3:49:
Prior to Uncensored, the Nasties had a few weeks off of television but they are back this week to easily squash South and Avery, who are not match for the former WCW Tag Team Champions. Sags flying elbow, which finishes South, came off as more of a splash.
–The commentary team says that Lord Steven Regal and Bobby Eaton have agreed to be partners and footage of their match last week on WCW Saturday Night is shown.
–Steve Austin (4-0) pins Larry MacMahan after a piledriver at 3:24:
It is Austin against MacMahan three years before it set the wrestling world on fire! On second thought, maybe not that McMahon. Austin does not have Colonel Robert Parker with him because this match was taped before the recent episode of Main Event where that reunion took place. MacMahan takes a nice spill to the arena floor in the middle of the bout and Austin toys with him for a while before putting him out of his misery. Zbyszko puts over Austin as a future world title contender but Austin needs a real feud to move up the ladder.
–Hacksaw Jim Duggan & Stars & Stripes defeat The Three Faces of Fear when Duggan pins Kevin Sullivan after a right hand at 9:11:
Solie tells fans that Avalanche will face Randy Savage on WCW Saturday Night in a rematch from Uncensored where the WCW faithful will hopefully be treated to a clean finish. The Butcher has not wrestled in nearly a month, last teaming with Sullivan to defeat Duggan and Dave Sullivan on WCW Pro on February 25. In a decent television main event, the babyfaces dominate until Avalanche gets tired of selling their offense and asserts his authority. Meanwhile, Solie hypes the encore presentation of Uncensored, despite the fact that Eric Bischoff warned fans for weeks that the broadcast would never re-air. Heel miscommunication results when all hell breaks loose as the Butcher accidentally blasts Sullivan off the second rope and Duggan capitalizes to put the babyfaces over. Rating: **
–After the match, the Three Faces of Fear get into another argument.
The Last Word: There was not a lot to see on today’s broadcast aside from the continuing slow burn of the Three Faces of Fear breakup angle that has been going on since SuperBrawl. Brian Pillman and Steve Austin reforming as a tag team would be a shot in the arm for that division but WCW appears to have no interest in putting them back together. Instead, both men are floundering with singles pushes on the company’s C-shows.
