I was doing a random wikipedia search out of boredom one day and checking out the InterContinental title history. And I saw that Pedro Morales still has the record for most days holding the IC title ever. And he’s still alive. How come WWE never carts him out for one of their never ending nostalgia pops? Is there bad blood? Or is he just not interested in the current product?
There's no bad blood that I know of. Pedro was part of the Spanish announce team for a while and then I think he jumped to WCW for theirs, so maybe once the relationship got severed, he just never came back? But I've seen vignettes about him during their Spanish history month stuff and he's in the Hall of Fame. It is kind of odd that someone who was such a big part of the company's history is no longer mentioned, but not everyone wants to be part of the WWE Machine and it could just be that Pedro has other stuff going on.
