Are Crowds the Problem?

By Scott Keith on 8 September 2018

Scott,

With all the talk about WWE not listening to the crowd (Like turning Braun and keeping Reigns the #1 babyface champ at all costs), can some blame be leveled at the crowd?

I mean, they were just about 50/50 for Bryan/Miz at SummerSlam, cheer for people at random, and come up with self-congratulatory chants and crap like This is Awesome and You Deserve It.

Is the fanbase’s fickle nature to blame?

What do you think?

Also, did you know Gene Okerlund’s wife is named Jean Okerlund?

I think that it used to be Vince's job to figure out either:
a) What the crowd wants so that he can deliver it to them, or
b) What he wants and how he can make the crowd agree with him.
And they're now completely lost track of how to do either one because they're a wrestling company that doesn't want to be a wrestling company, which is how you get what we've got now.
