Since it is the 25th Anniversary of Lex Luger slamming Yokozuna on the Intrepid, here is a simple question. If he wins the WWF Title at Summerslam, doesn’t the hold narrative of the Lex Express bus tour and storyline being a failure change entirely?

Also if they wanted him to win the title at WM X, why do the Co-Winner finish with Bret at Royal Rumble, and not just have him win the Rumble by himself?

He could have easily still failed even if he won. Feuding with Ludwig Borga was flaming hot Cheetoh death regardless of whether he was champ or not.

And they did the co-winner thing because they were second guessing themselves at that point.
