After WrestleMania 8, Vince knew he was losing Hogan. Why did he also like Piper and Jake go? Like you said, a Piper and Jake dynamic was never fully explored. Why not keep them both around as your top B-show program? Vince had to know there was good chance of Warrior flaking.

Piper didn’t really want to stick around because he had his whole Hollywood career going on. Jake was rapidly falling apart and becoming a toxic person to have around, especially with drug testing in everyone’s mind, so him leaving was for the best.
