Thinking about what avenues are still left for unique cash-ins, one of the only ones that come to mind is to have the MitB holder earn a title shot elsewhere & cash in immediately after losing his first title match.

They teased it years ago with Seth Rollins possibly cashing in after the Brock/Cena/Seth Triple Threat match, but didn’t go through with it.

So you think this would be a good idea, or is it too 50/50 booking & too harmful making the guy look like a loser?

This doesn’t necessarily fit someone like Braun character wise, but it did get me thinking. Thoughts?

Yeah, I’ve always wondered why they didn’t do that story. It sets up a scenario where the guy basically gets two shots at the title or you can screw over a babyface champion by having him overcome a tough challenger to triumph, who then beats the crap out of him and cashes in like a huge dick. Would have been perfect for Nakamura besting AJ, were they wanting to actually go that route.
