–McMahon promises to show footage of Sid’s attack on Shawn Michaels despite the fact that such footage has already aired on Superstars and The Action Zone. He also hypes tonight’s six-man tag match between Bret Hart, Bob Holly, and the 1-2-3 Kid and Hakushi, Owen Hart, and Yokozuna. Owen cuts a brief promo about how the heel team will squash the babyfaces, with Yokozuna getting in his usual “BANZAI!”
–Vince McMahon and Jerry Lawler are in the booth via the green screen and they are taped from Poughkeepsie, New York.
–Opening Contest: Adam Bomb (6-2) wrestles Tatanka (w/Ted DiBiase) (5-2-2) to a double count out at 5:47 shown:
McMahon puts over Bomb’s face credentials by saying he was popular with the Special Olympians at the Fan Festival before engaging in a debate with Lawler over the boxing career of Larry Holmes. Bomb gets a good reaction from the crowd but since the roster is heavily titled toward babyface talents he is not gaining a lot of traction and has been booked on the same level as other midcard acts like Doink and Aldo Montoya. Tatanka carries the offense here so things go at a glacial pace until he retreats to the floor, which has become his new signature move, and Bomb fights him on the floor for a double count out. This is the second time in two days Tatanka has wrestled someone to a double count out on WWF television. Rating: *

–The New Headshrinkers (3-1-2) (w/Afa & Captain Lou Albano) beat Tony DeVito & Mike Bell after Fatu pins Bell after a top rope splash at 2:53:
Both teams trade some cheating, with each one kneeing an opponent as they run the ropes, but that is not as important as Duckman, which McMahon and Lawler keep screaming about. The Headshrinkers are programmed with the Blu Brothers right now on house shows so their television matches just serve to keep them warm for those bouts. Fatu carries the match, winning it with his top rope splash as he and Sione crawl on the canvas after the bell.
–A vignette for Jean-Pierre LaFitte is shown. LaFitte actually wrestled the Undertaker at this taping and their match was put on the WrestleFest ’95 video.
–Footage of Bob Holly winning a race at the Mobile International Speedway on Saturday is shown.
–We get a replay of Sid’s turn against Shawn Michaels on last week’s show. What is interesting about this angle is that the fans reacted as if Sid was turning babyface until Diesel showed up to save his former friend. As a result, the company made sure to remind us many times over the next week that Sid was the bad guy and that he was afraid of Diesel, which is why he ran from the ring when Diesel made the save.

–Kama (w/Ted DiBiase) (8-0) beats Scott Taylor after a corner slingshot splash at 2:46:
Kama debuts his new gold chain made out of the Undertaker’s urn, thereby fulfilling the promise that he made to fans at WrestleMania XI after stealing it from Paul Bearer. Kama shows greater diversity in his arsenal here, throwing Taylor in the air to punch him in the midsection, and then using a corner slingshot splash as a finish instead of the STF.
–Alundra Blayze winning the WWF Women’s Championship from Bull Nakano on last week’s show is recapped, as well as her attack at the hands of Bertha Faye.
–Bret Hart, Bob Holly, and the 1-2-3 Kid say that they are the best talents of the New Generation and Bret says he wants Hakushi for himself.

–Bret Hart, Bob Holly & the 1-2-3 Kid beat Hakushi, Owen Hart & Yokozuna (w/Shinja, Jim Cornette & Mr. Fuji) when Holly pins Owen after a schoolboy at 8:35 shown:
The booking of this bout stems from last week’s show when Yokozuna interfered in a Bob Holly-Hakushi match and caused Holly to lose. Sadly, this match comes nowhere near being one of the better bouts of the year due to the fact that we get a multitude of commercial breaks and Yokozuna burns lots of time by putting the Kid, who is the face in peril, in a long nerve hold. Bret takes out the heels by himself and targets Hakushi the most, but it is Holly who ends up getting the win when Bret tags him in and dropkicks Owen, allowing Holly to schoolboy one-half of the tag team champions and get the win. That ending will likely produce a match the tag team champions and Holly and the Kid. This is the first time that Hakushi has lost a match in the company. Rating: **¼
–McMahon urges us to order the WrestleMania XI encore presentation. We are shown the introduction of Lawrence Taylor’s All-Pro Team to entice us to buy the event.
–Tune in next week to see Jean-Pierre LaFitte face Duke Droese and Owen Hart & Yokozuna defend the WWF tag team titles against Bob Holly & the 1-2-3 Kid!
The Last Word: The show got off to a rough start, but the main event was serviceable and did a good job setting up next week’s feature match for the WWF tag team titles. The company’s portrayal of Sid as a chicken against Diesel is odd, though, as a future bout between them would have a greater selling point if Sid was billed as someone who did not back down and was a psycho killing machine.
