Was it true that Billy Gunn was originally slated to be the driver who ran Austin down at Survivor Series 1999, but Austin didn’t want to work a program or job to him because he felt Gunn wasn’t over enough?

​That is more or less the version I’ve always heard, yes. Also, Billy Gunn as the driver would have been a stupid idea, but I suppose it was at least logical. ​
