“McMahon’s Millions Giveaway” In 2008

Re: Another story-line with Vince McMahon that was apparently dropped; In the summer of 2008 they had the "McMahon’s Millions Giveaway", or whatever it was to bribe viewers to watch Raw. It ended with the stage collapsing on Vince, and Vince being off of T.V. for a good while. They hinted that someone was responsible for the stage collapse, but when Vince finally returned it was never brought up again. Was this supposed to actually go somewhere, or was it yet another angle that wasn’t given much thought beyond it’s conception?

​In the Observer at the time, Dave says it was just done as a ratings stunt and they’d come up with the culprit later, and obviously they never did. ​
