When a wrestler wins a #1 contender match, but the champion has a scheduled opponent, wouldn’t that make it the #2 contender?
If you’re referring to Jinder "The Ratings Hinder" Mahal, then no, because the Orton v. Wyatt match at Backlash is non-title. Otherwise, yes.
