Hogan/Flair Swap

Clearly Hulk Hogan was a once in a lifetime character with his look, charisma, etc. but how much of his success should be credited to McMahon/New York media market? If you switched them, could Flair have become the biggest drawing star in New York, or would Hogan in NWA/WCW still be the biggest fish?
What about Sting? How close to Hogan could he have become?

Sting just didn’t have Hogan’s charisma. He would have done fine, but Hogan was the right guy in the right place at the right time. I think Hogan would have drawn on top in the NWA and they likely would have booked around him. Would Flair have gotten that same leeway in the WWF? I dunno. Vince was after him FOREVER, but look what happened when he finally got there.
