John Cena Post-WWE

So Cena is hosting SNL on Dec. 10th. Between this, his multiple co-hosting stints on Today, his role in Trainwreck, etc., it seems like rumors of him retiring soon (or least doing either the Chris Jericho or Taker route when making future appearences) might be coming sooner than we think. So where do you see him post-WWE? NBC seems to love him since alot of his tv work has been on that channel. Plus, he seems to like doing comedy, I could see him getting a sitcom there. Frankly, with Billy Bush gone, I’m surprised he wasn’t named permanent Today co-host.

​It’s actually really interesting that Cena, much like the Rock, appears to be on the verge of escaping wrestling without having the stink of the business weighing him down. Plus he’s a naturally funny guy, so yeah, I could definitely see him getting into hosting a talk show or doing a sitcom. I bet he’d be perfect for a Tim Allen type of role as a single dad trying to raise three wacky kids and find romance or whatever. ​
