Brand wars

Hey Scott,

what’s your take on feuds between different brands or "companies" (Invasion in 2001 / RAW vs SD during various years, mostly around Survivor Series)?

People that had blood feuds/big rivalries shortly before suddenly teaming up for theit brand? (AJ and Ambrose currently, Bray and Bayley totally going against their respective​ ​
characters / all WCW and ECW guys suddenly getting along during the Invasion)

Don’t the characters look freaking stupid and weak by this? Also the stories being inconsequential?

​This year’s Survivor Series was pretty egregious in that the split only happened two months ago, so going from the FIRST EVER RAW PPV to THE ONLY TIME YOU’LL SEE RAW AND SMACKDOWN MIXING in that short of a time is just silly. It’s just artificially trying to create competition that the fans don’t actually buy into 90% of the time. ​
