Mr. Perfect Circa 2002

By Scott Keith on 12 March 2016

I’m watching RAW replays on the WWE network from mid 2002. Mr. Perfect sure got a lot of prime air time on those shows.

Did Vince have any actual long term plans with bringing him back, or did he just self destruct on his own before they could use him properly?

Thanks.

I don’t think there was any long-term plan. Vince just had a weird co-dependent thing with Hennig where he’d bring Curt back and then Curt would screw him over and leave again, and they both kept thinking it would change somehow. He got a lot of airtime on shows like Heat or Jakked or whatever it was at the time, but I really don’t remember him being much of a focus on the main roster in 2002. Plus trying to kill Brock Lesnar by pushing him out of a plane was a bit of a career limiting move anyway.
