Bulldogs/Rougeau’s at Survivor Series ’88 Question

By Scott Keith on 29 February 2016

Have been reading (and very much enjoying) your Observer posts. Regarding the Bulldogs/Rougeau’s deal, in the most recent issue you posted (11/28) Dave notes that Vince is "desperately" trying to keep the two teams apart. Totally understandable, given the incidents that had occurred. My question is, with all the heat and bad blood there, why on earth were they not only booked to work the same match, but why did they have so much actual interaction within that match? Not only Davey and Raymond, but Jacques and Kid work several stretches together!

Because they’re professionals and not children. In theory. Plus Vince specifically told both teams that they’d forfeit their pay if anything happened.
