Braun Strowman and NXT

Is there any reason why out of all people he pretty much bypassed NXT completely? I know the stock comedy answer is "because he is big". But, is it really that obvious?

Wouldn’t that give him some heat with the rest of the guys? In that he gets a free ride into the place and people that spend years all across the world still have to pay their dues and learn the difficult intricacies of looking at a camera and pointing at a sign and other things they teach you.

​You have to think it seriously devalues the whole premise of the NXT developmental system when some guy bypasses it and apparently is getting a Wrestlemania payday against Undertaker. I mean, that might even teach people that there’s more than one way to learn wrestling! ​
