Bobby Heenan WCW question

Hi Scott. Thanks to the Network I’ve been watching a lot of the 90s
WCW shows that I missed and I have to wonder why they bothered
trotting Heenan out there show after show? He was clearly miserable
and drunk half the time and when he does try to make a point the other
announcers talk over him and make fun of him. It makes the shows hard
to listen to at times. Any thoughts? Thanks.

​He was a big star in the WWF, and so they wanted him on WCW TV. Even half-cut Bobby is still better than a lot of other choices they would have had, like when they replaced him with Mark Madden. ​
