Not Living The Gimmick

Some funny discussion on blog yesterday about Sista Sherri in Harlem Heat. No one seems to be sure if she is African American or not? (It’s like that Seinfeld episode.) It got me thinking of how many wrestlers had gimmicks that didn’t match their real ethnicity. I feel like your blog is the right place to make this list:

Nikita Koloff: Scott Simpson is not Russian
Chief Jay Strongbow: Joe Scarpa is not Native American
Yokozuna: Rodney Anoai is not Japanese
Akeem: Self explanatory
Camacho: Somoan descent? Not Mexican.
J.T. Smith: Not a full blooded Italian
Sista Sherri: No one knows.
