Hmm another week of this show missing from the archives. WHAT DO THEY NOT WANT US TO KNOW?

Taped from somewhere, sometime in September. Around this time attendance was getting REALLY bad due to backlash against Flair’s departure and they were cancelling shows and moving stuff around in desperation to fill their 18 hours of TV programming every week.

Thomas Rich v. Brian Pillman

Somehow, Brian Pillman has returned. Rich takes him down with an armdrag, but Pillman hits him with dropkicks to send him flying to the floor. Back in, Pillman works the arm while Alexandra York asks the laptop for advice. If she’s got Grok installed on there then Rich might as well just give up now. Pillman tries a bodypress out of the corner and slips on the ropes, landing on his face in a rare misfire. Rich takes over, but Pillman backdrops him out of the corner and goes up again for a missile dropkick and a stungun. Back to the top for a flying bodypress this time to finish at 4:12.

WCW HALLOWEEN HAVOC CONTROL CENTER! WITH GORDON SOLIE!

We have a main event to announce, as Lex Luger will defend the WCW World title against Ron Simmons in a 2/3 falls match, and we get a clip of the contract signing at the Clash where Simmons attacks him. Next up, the CHAMBER OF HORRORS match, which we don’t have any information about until next week. That show low key changed the direction of the promotion and actually gave them a bit of life at end of 1991, thankfully.

The Enforcers v. Jim Boss & TC Carter

Larry quickly hangs Carter in the Tree of Woe and stomps him down. They double-team him and Larry gets a suplex and slam and puts the boots to him, and it’s over to Arn with the spinebuster before Larry finishes with a sugar hold at 2:20. Enforcers were really rolling at this point.

The WCW Top 10 proves that wrestling went woke THIRTY YEARS AGO.

Everyone laughs when I say this, but look at the evidence.

Sting at #1. Face paint. Bright colors. Literally appropriating crow culture years before The Crow even came out.

Ron Simmons at #2 despite not even being World Champion yet. They were clearly pushing a diversity agenda instead of rewarding established stars. Merit is DEAD.

Barry Windham falls to #3 because apparently being a rugged cowboy isn’t “the current thing.”

Then it gets really blatant.

El Gigante is #4. So now we’re ranking people based on height privilege? Imagine if a normal-sized wrestler wanted the same opportunities.

Steve Austin at #5. Zero accomplishments. Pure affirmative action for future podcast hosts.

Dustin Rhodes at #6 because everyone knew he’d eventually change his identity. The signs were there from the beginning if you were paying attention.

One Man Gang at #7. HE WASN’T EVEN IN THE PROMOTION ANYMORE.

PN News at #8. A rapper. In a wrestling ranking. This is what happens when entertainment replaces athletic competition.

Johnny B. Badd at #9. Makeup. Lipstick. Little Richard gimmick. And I’m supposed to believe this wasn’t social engineering?

Then Cactus Jack sneaks in at #10 despite dressing like he lost a fight with a Goodwill donation bin. Standards no longer matter.

Meanwhile, where are the REAL wrestlers?

Where is Oz? Where is Diamond Studd? Where is Big Josh? You know why.

The so-called “experts” couldn’t handle strong men with traditional wizard values, glitter-covered diamonds, and environmentally conscious lumberjacks.

This wasn’t a Top 10.

It was the beginning of the Woke Championship Wrestling agenda.

Meanwhile, we take a look at another show, where Tom Zenk is confronted by Harley Race, and Zenk is PISSED OFF at what Lex has become. So Luger comes out to clear the air, and attacks Zenk. So now Zenk is going to be a referee, apparently. Yeah that’ll show him.

Stunning Steve Austin v. Greg Sawyer

And indeed, Zenk is the special referee for this match. Zenk apparently showered while wearing his ref’s shirt because he is SOAKED. Austin works on Sawyer in the corner and drops an elbow on him before choking him out on the ropes. Austin with a clothesline for two and he follows with a suplex and powerslam. To the top for a flying splash that gets two, but he picks the geek up a few times to mess with Zenk. Austin with a knee to the gut for two and he keeps picking the guy up before finishing with the stungun at 4:10. But then he tosses the jobber over the top rope to celebrate, and Special Ref Z-Man reverses the decision. I have no idea what this was supposed to be leading towards. Just something for Zenk to do, I guess.

Meanwhile, Ron Simmons faces Luger at the Omni, as the referee gets bumped while Ron has the match won, only for Mr Hughes to lay him out with a chair from behind, allowing Lex to piledrive him and retain. But then Barry Windham comes out to protest and they kick the shit out of him as well. This Simmons-Windham team is such a spectacular failure on every level. What a couple of losers, getting their ass beat by Luger week after week.

Cactus Jack v. Dave Diamond

Jack brings a wheelbarrow with him and slams Diamond out to the floor and then flips off the apron with a legdrop, taking a crazy bump on this B-show. Back in for the double arm DDT to finish at 0:50. And then he tosses Diamond to the floor and drops another Cactus elbow on him before tossing him in the wheelbarrow and hauling him to the back.

Meanwhile, Barry Windham and Ron Simmons talk about how Lex Luger is beating them like rented mules week after week, so they’ve formed a UNION to counter Luger. I’m sure Luger is quaking in his boots.

Lex Luger & Mr. Hughes v. Larry Santo & Joey Maggs

Hughes hits Maggs with a backbreaker while TA talks about his “cat like quickness.” I got that reference. Over to Santo and Hughes slams him around as well, before Lex finishes him off with the piledriver at 1:30.

Next week: One Man Gang will apparently join us, which is a neat trick considering he was announced on the World Championship Wrestling show the week before as leaving the promotion. I guess this was taped a long time ago. It’s not like the producers were paying attention to what was on the other shows anyway.
