Meanwhile, on World Championship Wrestling, Arn and Tully double-team Ron Garvin and injure his hand, which is probably gonna backfire on them.

Gorgeous Jimmy Garvin v. Tony Zane

Garvin hits him with a backdrop and finishes with the brainbuster at 0:45.

Paul Jones joins us, and he’s got footage of his Army trying to cut the hair of Jimmy Valiant, but not succeeding this time. But Shaska is ready to cut some hair and any idiots who stand in his way are also gonna pay the price.

Ivan Koloff v. Mark Fleming

Fleming actually gets some shots on Ivan and backdrops him out of the corner for two. Small package gets two, but he walks into a Sickle and gets pinned at 0:45. This brings in Nikita, in his gym casuals, to put the boots to Fleming because he still won’t wrestle on TV until his title match with Magnum.

LAST WEEK: Ricky Morton stands up to Ric Flair, and tears off his nice suit!

Joe NIGHTHAWK Coltrane v. Ron Rossi

Rossi takes Nighthawk down with an armdrag, but Joe gives him an awkward bodyslam and then finishes with a shoulderbreaker at 0:58. He still looks super awkward out there.

Jimmy Valiant joins us and he doesn’t have any hobbies besides beating up Paul Jones, who he calls Mad Dog Jones. Also Pez Whatley forgot the times Jimmy put him to bed at night when he showed up half drunk and needing a friend. So now Jimmy is gonna cut his hair and make him the bald headed geek.

Manny Fernandez, Hector Guerrero & Wahoo McDaniel v. Leo Burke, Thunderfoot & Black Bart

Sad to see our Mid-Atlantic champion doing jobs on TV. Bart goes after Manny to start and gets chased back to his corner again as a result, and it’s over to Burke. Leo gets pinballed by the babyfaces, and Thunderfoot is in next. Hector monkey-flips him out of the corner, probably thinking he would never do a masked gimmick that silly himself. Wahoo beats on Bart with chops and puts him over the top and onto the floor, which I guess is a message to Jimmy Garvin because they were Crockett Cup partners. Not that we’re talking about the Cup this week for whatever reason. Thunderfoot misses an elbow on Manny and it’s back to Wahoo for more chops. Everyone is in for a brawl, and the Flying Burrito finishes Thunderfoot at 5:43. Well we all knew who was eating the pin here.

Gorgeous Jimmy Garvin joins David and declares himself the new King of the Mountain, and it’s not his fault! So we get footage of Wahoo interfering in Jimmy’s match and threatening to hit his woman, but Precious defends herself with the spray and allows Jimmy to put him down with a brainbuster. Jimmy points out that Wahoo should be honored that Jimmy is picking on him, because that means Wahoo is big and tough due to Jimmy’s policy against picking on little squirts. And also the Save the Chief fund is dead and buried because no fans sent him any money.

Manny Fernandez joins David, talking about brotherhood and how Shaska betrayed him. But Paul Jones interrupts and offers the Bull a big briefcase of money. But Manny will not sell out for anyone! Hmmm.

Sam Houston & Nelson Royal v. George South & Gene Ligon

Sam works on the arm of Ligon as we finally talk about the Crockett Cup and David promises highlights next week. Nelson controls South with a headlock and Houston follows with a back elbow for two. Did you know Nelson Royal was only 22 here? The 80s were a different time and men were MEN back then. Houston trades holds with Ligon on the mat and South encourages Gene to BREAK IT OFF, but Sam reverses out of a headscissors and goes to an armbar. So South comes in to deal with things himself, but Houston flips over both of them and bulldogs Ligon for the pin at 4:41. It was fun to see George South getting a chance to show some personality here.

The Russians join us and we have footage of Nikita winning the US title, but it turns out that Nikita was DQ’d in a Dusty Finish and the decision was reversed. But Ivan has a new target anyway: The Road Warriors! We also get footage of Nikita and Magnum getting into a brawl on the other show, but Krusher turning the tide via crutch to the head.

Jimmy Valiant v. Vernon Deaton

Elbowdrop finishes in 10 seconds.

Shaska Whatley & Baron Von Raschke v. Denny Brown & Rocky Kernodle

Denny slugs away in the corner, but the Baron comes in and turns the tide. Did you know Baron was only 18 here? There were some hard living guys in the 80s, man. The heels double-team Brown in the corner, but Denny fights back and gets a crossbody on Baron for two. He continues fighting on Shaska and it’s over to Kernodle, who promptly gets beat by Whatley at 3:50 via flying headbutt. Man Denny Brown found a bigger geek than himself this week, impressive.

Wahoo McDaniel joins David and talks about the pain of having to carry his friend Magnum back to the dressing room. He also talks about going from a nice guy to a mean SOB lately, but now he’s seen the light and made up with Dusty Rhodes. But if Garvin keeps pushing him, he’ll revert back to the mean and evil version of himself.
