WWE Announces Date & Location For John Cena’s Final Match

WWE has officially announced details for John Cena’s last match.

Back in August, NBC Sports announced that Peacock and WWE had agreed to a multi-year deal for Saturday Night’s Main Event to air exclusively on their platform in the US. As part of the press release, they also revealed that John Cena’s final match would take place on the December 13th edition of the event.

Now, WWE has announced that the show will take place at the Capital One Arena in Washington DC. Although his opponent is currently unknown, it has also been confirmed that Cena’s bout will headline the event.

Commenting on the news, Triple H promised the 17-time World Champion would have an unforgettable send-off.

“John’s contributions to WWE are immeasurable. There are no words that can truly relay how much he means to this business.

“Together with our partners at Events DC and Capital One Arena, we look forward to honoring his legacy and delivering an unforgettable send-off for both John and the WWE Universe.”

Ticketmaster will offer an exclusive presale for the event on Wednesday, October 15th, at 10:00 a.m. ET/7:00 a.m. PT, while the general sale will begin on Friday, October 17th, at the same time.

WWE also announced that the night before Saturday Night’s Main Event, The Undertaker will host a live episode of his Six Feet Under podcast at the nearby Howard Theatre.

Reacting to the announcement on social media, John Cena said the match will be the “Final Final.”
