Karrion Kross To Compete In First Match Following WWE Departure

By Conor Renshaw on 19 August 2025

Karrion Kross and Scarlett are set to make their first in-ring appearance following their departure from WWE next month.

The husband-and-wife pairing, now using their pre-WWE names of Killer Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux, have been announced to appear for independent promotion WrestlePro on September 21. The announcement was made by WrestlePro on social media, which confirmed that Kross will be competing at their “Killer Smokeshow” event, which takes place in Rahway, New Jersey. Kross’ opponent for the show has yet to be confirmed.

This isn’t Karrion Kross and Scarlett’s first post-WWE announced appearance, however, as they have also announced numerous non-wrestling convention appearances and meet and greets as part of their “Killer Smokeshow: Carnage Tour.” Their first appearance on the tour will be at the Mad Monster Expo on Friday, August 22.

Why Did Karrion Kross Leave WWE?

Karrion Kross and Scarlett left WWE after their contracts expired and were not renewed, allowing them to immediately become free agents without any non-compete clause, which is subject to stars that the company releases.

Kross said previously that he attempted to reach out before his deal came to an end to renew, but didn’t hear anything until only a week before his contract was set to expire, and that the offer he received was disappointing.

Are you excited to see Kross back in action next month? Who do you think his first post-WWE opponent will be? And do you think, like others, that this is still some elaborate storyline from WWE, and he will be back with the company soon?
