Cody Rhodes Confirmed For WWE Wrestlepalooza

Triple H has confirmed that Cody Rhodes will be back in WWE in time for Wrestlepalooza.

Cody Rhodes has been absent from WWE TV since the August 8th edition of SmackDown, when Drew McIntyre launched a vicious assault on the Undisputed WWE Champion.

Since then, Rhodes has been filming the new Street Fighter movie, which will feature The American Nightmare as Guile. The movie will also star Roman Reigns as Akuma, and former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Hirooki Goto as E. Honda.

With the star having been gone for over a month now, fans have been wondering when he will return. During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Triple H answered that question, revealing that Rhodes will be back for Wrestlepalooza in Indianapolis, IN, on September 20th.

“I’ll give you a spoiler right now, Cody will be back, Indianapolis [for Wrestlepalooza]”

Previously, PWInsider reported that Cody Rhodes will put the Undisputed WWE Title on the line against Drew McIntyre at Wrestlepalooza, so it remains to be seen if The American Nightmare will return ahead of the event to set up the challenge.

Cody Rhodes’ return adds more star power to a card that already featured the in-ring return of AJ Lee, and John Cena’s final match against Brock Lesnar. You can find the full card so far below:
